Who we are
The publication
Live Sports News is an independent football publication aimed at Australian readers who follow European leagues on evening schedules. We cover Ligue 1, European cups, tactical analysis and the transfer market with a tone closer to a broadsheet review than a live ticker.
Our team
The newsroom consists of eight journalists and three researchers working across match reporting, analysis and desk editing. Reporters Camille Perrot, Antoine Rivière, Nicolas Bertrand and Julien Marchand file from press rooms and broadcast feeds; the desk verifies every piece before it goes live.
Editorial principles
We prioritise accuracy over speed. When a result is confirmed, we publish — but we do not chase unverified rumours or republish unsourced social posts. Transfer news is reported only when corroborated by club statements, league filings or multiple independent sources.
Our analysis articles are clearly labelled and distinguish observation from fact. Tactical pieces describe patterns visible in match footage and publicly available data; they do not present opinion as established truth.
Fact-checking
Every article passes through a two-step process. The author files a complete draft with sources noted internally; a second editor checks names, scores, competition rules, dates and historical references. Disputed calls are flagged and, where necessary, qualified in the text.
Corrections
When we publish an error, we correct the article promptly and append a note at the foot of the piece describing what changed and when. Readers who spot an error can write to [email protected].
